Winners - U-13 Ebenezer Champions Trophy
The U- 13 St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School Cricket Team has notched up yet another victory with the Ebenezer Champions Trophy safely in their custody for the academic year 2017-18.
The League match wins were as follows:
• Against DPS East - won by 8 wickets – Man of the Match M.B. Shivam
• Against Chinmay Vidyalaya – won by 8 wickets – Man of the Match Aryan I.
• Against Gopalan International School – won by 64 runs – Man of the Match Dhruv Prabhakar

Quarter Finals:
• Against Bishop Cottons Boys’ School – won by 7 wickets – Man of the Match Priyal Singh

Semi Finals:
• Against Jain Heritage School – won by 9 wickets – Man of the Match Arjun Nair

Finals:
• Against Christ School – won by 76 runs – Man of the Match M.B. Shivam
With so many ace players in the Champions team, there was hardly any doubt about the U – 13 SJBHS team’s stupendous performance against their peers from the schools of Bangalore.
Congratulations to the BEST BATSMAN of the tournament M.B. Shivam and the BEST BOWLER Arjun Nair.


NCC
Kalamanda Kaverappa of Std. IX will be the only cadet from SJBHS to march in the Karnataka NCC Contingent for the Republic Day parade in the National Capital on the 26th of January, 2018.

Yashas Rajesh and Adyoth Chanakeshav of Std 7 bring home quizzing laurels!
They took 3rd place in the Middle School Category at Indica, the Republic Day Quiz hosted by Nexus Consulting, on 26 January, 2018 and finished 8th out of over 300 teams from Std 5 to 10 in the Bengaluru finals of the Prajavani Quiz Championship, on 24 January, 2018



Chinmay Ammanagi of Std. X will lead Karnataka in the Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy three- day cricket clash at Vadodara from January 9th - 13th, 2018.




Ashwin S. of Std. IX, Priyal Singh and Arjun Nair of Std. VIII have been selected to represent Karnataka Under-14 in the South Zone tournament to be played at Kerala from 7th - 21st January, 2018. SJBHS is the only school to have three players in the U-14 team. Kudos to the champions and the school coaching staff, Mr. Mehboob and team.

Congratulations Abhyuday! Our young Josephite, Abhyuday of Std 5B won the first prize in an Essay Writing Competition held at Lalbagh on the 14th of August, 2017 for his Essay on Rashtra Kavi Kuvempu. Congratulations!




Student Innovation Championship 2017



Aldrin Rodrigues was placed first in the Bangalore Inter School’s Shito-Ryu Karate Championship
(Individual Kunite Event) U – 12 in the black belt category.





Darren Rodrigues of class III ‘B’ participated in the inter school Karate championship held at Koramangala Indoor Stadium. He won the gold medal in the individual kumite event in the brown belt category.

All-India Karate-do Federation, Asian Karate Federation and Indian Olympic awarded two of our student’s certificates and medals in the recently conducted NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS from 30th Jan to 1st Feb at SREE KANTEERVA STADIUM.
Aldrin Rodrigues of Std. V ‘E’ won a bronze in KATA in 10 years category.
Arjun Pravin Menon of Std. IV ‘A’ won a silver in KUMITE in 9 years category.
Aldrin won a silver and two bronze in the State Level KUMITE and KATA.
Arjun won one gold and two bronze in KUMITE and KATA respectively.
